LRAR commenced work on the project in August 2024, to provide a bid to Brighton and Hove City Council.

Yellowave won the bid to develop the site and occupy the venue that is part of the Kingsway to the Sea (KTTS) masterplan developed by the council.

Planning consent was approved in March 2025 following support at the planning committee. The project team have been working hard to get the venue open for the end of summer, due to the seasonal nature of the business, the first week of opening has seen a positive reaction from the locals and visitors.
